Getting Started with Your Project

  • Familiarize yourself with general IRB guidance
  • Are you conducting research? If you aren't sure, submit a Research Determination Request Form to KPNC-RDO@kp.org and cc  DOR.IRB.Submissions@kp.org for
    the Research Determination Official to determine type of human subjects evaluation you need: IRB or determination that your project is not research. Learn more about research determinations at inside DOR*.

  • Research training requirements and guide to prepare for an IRB submission:
    • Includes how to:
      • Create an IRBnet account
      • Required trainings and how to register
      • Study specific requirements (Biosketch, Data only protocol, Raptor form, etc.)
  • Get local leadership approval for your project
