Research Associate III, Delivery Science and Applied Research

Cimone E. Durojaiye, MPH

With over a decade of experience in healthcare, Cimone has worked across diverse settings, from providing direct care to geriatric assisted living residents with dementia to coordinating social services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her early hands-on work instilled a deep understanding of patient and community needs, which continues to drive her commitment to research that enhances healthcare delivery.

In 2018, Cimone joined Kaiser Permanente’s Division of Research, where she played a pivotal role in participant recruitment and biospecimen collection for a large-scale infectious diseases and substance use study. Recognizing the power of research to drive systemic change, she transitioned to the Delivery Science and Applied Research (DARE) program in 2020. In this role, she collaborates closely with stakeholders, physician-researchers, and medical leaders to accelerate evidence-based innovation and strategic implementation. She also leads the development and sustainability of physician research networks and oversees a portfolio of internally funded research projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and healthcare efficiencies.

Cimone holds a BS in Kinesiology, Exercise Science from Cal State University Northridge and a Master’s in Public Health, Global Health Leadership from the University of Southern California. Outside of her work at Kaiser Permanente, Cimone serves as a board member for two nonprofit community organizations. In her free time, she enjoys exploring global cultures, music, journaling, and taking road trips with her husband and two children.
